Agenda: | Traffic Safety Committee Agenda:
There will be a meeting of the Chatham Traffic Safety Committee at 4pm on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. This meeting will be held in the small meeting room on the lower level of the Town Hall Annex located at 261 George Ryder Rd.
Meeting agenda:
Review and approval of minutes.
Discussion of previous requests:
Request to post the north side of the Cow Yard Landing as No Parking and to post the rest as town sticker only. (Tabled from July meeting) This request was scheduled to be discussed at the 8/18 meeting of the Waterways Committee, but that meeting was cancelled.
Request to change parking restriction on Hallet Lane and School Street, including the addition of an overnight parking restriction. (Tabled from the July meeting)
Request to reduce the speed limit on Ridgevale Rd.
Request to reduce the speed limit on Cockle Cove Rd. Further discussion of speed reduction signage and equipment.
New Requests:
Request to change the stop sign at the intersection of Queen Ann Rd and Pond St. Currently Pond St traffic must stop before entering Queen Anne. The request is to move this sign and instead require traffic coming from the rotary on Queen Anne Rd. to stop at the Pond St intersection and allowing Pond St traffic to enter Queen Ann without stopping.
Request to remove the No Parking area across from #23 Hallet Lane. (Request also asked that the two spaces at the Main St. end of Hallet that were blocked off for COVID purposes be restored. Those spaces have been previously restored so no action is required on this request)
Request to place additional One-Way signs on Hallet Lane.
Request for a Slow-Pedestrians Walking sign on Cockle Cove in the area of 20 Cockle Cove Rd.
Request to adopt MGL Ch.90 sec 17C which would allow the town to adopt a default 25mph speed limit on all streets unless otherwise posted. Also included is a request to review the crosswalks on Seaview St.
Request for a Caution-Hidden Driveway sign in the area of 308 Old Comers Rd. |
