Chatham, MA Traffic Safety Committee

Appointed by Board of Selectmen
Five members and One Alternate member, appointment terms - until work is completed
Meetings - Bi-monthly starting in January, last Thursday of month at 4:00 p.m.

Traffic Safety Committee Charge:
(formerly known as the Traffic Study Committee)
The Committee should consist of individuals who are knowledgeable of, or interested in vehicular public safety issues. The Committee is charged with reviewing all requests pertaining to Town Roads and Town Parking Lots for traffic control signs, including parking and no parking requests, in order to make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen. In addition, the Committee is charged with review of intersection designs for public safety, in order to make recommendations to either the Board of Selectmen or appropriate staff members. This Committee will consist entirely of volunteers, but will be staffed by liaisons from both the Police Department and the DPW/Highway Department as the need arises.

Regular Meetings
