FY 2025 Town of Barre CDBG Application

The Barre Board of Selectmen will conduct a Public Hearing on March 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Henry Woods Building, Board of Selectmen Meeting Room, 40 West Street, Barre, MA and via virtual meeting. In the event the meeting is cancelled due to inclement weather, the hearing will take place during the next rescheduled Board of Selectmen meeting. 

The public is encouraged to attend this hearing to discuss a FY 2025 application by the Town of Barre to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities for up to $850,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds. Projects currently under consideration include public infrastructure improvements on Fir Street and a targeted assessment and inventory of blighted conditions in South Barre. Additional projects may be discussed and may be included in the grant application. 

All persons and organizations with questions or comments regarding the grant application will have an opportunity to be heard. Written comments may be submitted to the Barre Town Administrator, 40 West Street, Barre, MA 01005, Attn: Tammy Martin. If awarded, the Town of Barre will be responsible for administration of the grant program, with assistance from the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC).

The Henry Woods Building Board of Selectmen Meeting Room is handicapped accessible.
