This meeting will be conducted via remote participation only. For this meeting, both Committee members and members of the public who wish to listen to and/or view the meeting may do so via Video Call (with the option to show yourself on video or not and with the option to use a phone to call in, for audio-only). • Downtown Lighting Design Update and selection of desired pole, lantern, and accessories styles.
• Update concerning new sidewalks and possible lighting conduit and handholes from Water Street to Gloucester line.
• Possible update of Essex's listing of "Priority Development Sites" with the North Shore Alliance Program.
• 2023 Goals and Objectives Update: Review of tracking template (including more detail on existing tasks and the process for adding new tasks).
• Update on “Guide to Doing Business in Essex” – Margaret Eklind/Tina Lane.
• Placemaking Grant Update.
• Off Season Event Grant Update.
• Centennial Grove Pavilion Update/Future Event Rental.
• Rural and Small Town Development Fund Grant Expression of Interest and eventual grant application.
• Summary of recent Economic Development grant presentation hosted by the Mayor of Gloucester.
o Addition of links on the EDC web page to useful grant programs to assist local businesses.
o Possible adoption the Selectmen of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program allowing for commercial improvement betterments
• Business Outreach
• Consider whether we should proceed with bringing other Town owned Parcels to Town Meeting. Review process
• Any items that could not be reasonably anticipated by the Chairman until after the meeting posting deadline. |
