Water Department, their next meeting is the 2nd Wednesday, November 10 at 11:00 am in the town hall. Brenda will call Monday, October 18 between 10:00 and 2:00 to ask to be on the agenda regarding the 2 buildings water usage or lack thereof.
Lee Zdanys Jr, is the Senior Adjuster for the town’s insurance, for the damage done to the library building during the major storms this past year. They will cover the interior damage, but not the maintenance of the exterior. Lee mentioned the insurance company has a list of contractors they recommend. Brenda spoke with Kelli, Town Administrator regarding the building damage, with only $4803.68 in our Library Maintenance account, and we paid the $17,500 lease for FY21 from this account. ServiceMaster came out to inspect the damage in the front foyer.
Please refer to the CIPC document from 2018 for discussion and edits.
We need to review our options for a new ADA ramp, it has been suggested a wooden ramp may be less expensive than a concrete and steel railing with brick.
 Library Annex
A draft of a Meeting room policy is available for review and to be updated and edited at our November meeting.
The Brookfield Community Club is now storing all their material for the Apple Country Fair in the garage (below the barn), instead of private basements and all over the town. The bonus for this group is the parking in the driveway, the garage is electric door opening and level with the driveway. They retrieved long ago stored materials in the carriage house and stored them with the newer materials. Marie Oprica is the key holder and is responsible for respectful use of the building. The town’s Recreation Committee is now scheduled to meet on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room. Lisa Hanrahan is the key holder and is responsible for respectful use of the building. It is understood key holders will return key when they are no longer affiliated with the organization they represent,
Mass Save sent a representative to the annex Tuesday, October 12 to inspect for services they can supply through the program. Insulation is needed in the walls and more in the attic. 25 Led lamp led 9.5 w bulbs will be sent free of charge along with other accessories.
