Town Meeting Vote & Information Session On December 9th, Ashburnham’s Special Town Meeting will give residents the vote on whether to accept a state grant to permanently protect the Jewell Hill Farm and this view at the peak of Jewell Hill, the pinnacle of an unprotected 300-acre property in Ashburnham, Ashby and Fitchburg. To learn more, join, members from Ashburnham’s Open Space Committee and Conservation Commission, The Trustees and The Ashburnham Conservation Trust for an information session on Monday, December 2nd at 6PM: WHAT: Jewell Hill Information Session WHEN: Monday, December 2 at 6PM WHERE: Stevens Memorial Library, 20 Memorial Dr. in Ashburnham PLUS: The Trustees will be offering pizza and beverages A Town Warrant Article and vote is required at the December 9th, Ashburnham Special Town Meeting to authorize the Select Board to accept a state grant award for the purchase of a conservation restriction on the 84 acres at Jewell Hill that is in Ashburnham. This grant is part of a collaboration between The Trustees, Town of Ashburnham, and the City of Fitchburg to permanently protect 300 acres at Jewell Hill Farm for public enjoyment. Please attend this meeting to support the protection of another one of Ashburnham’s special places. |
