Greetings, You are hereby required and directed to notify the inhabitants of the Fire District of the Town of Dalton, qualified by law to vote on District affairs, to meet in the:
FIRE STATION, DALTON
TUESDAY, MAY 9, 2017, AT 7:00 PM
ARTICLE 1. To see if the District will vote to accept the Commissioners report and the Treasurer’s Report as printed, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 2. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $5,947.00 for the schedule of compensation for the Board of Water Commissioners for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 3. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the Administration of the District for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 4. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the Administration Reserve for Contingencies Account for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $950.00 for GASB 45 report in fiscal year 2018 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 6. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,500.00 for an audit of the District for the period ending June 30, 2017 in fiscal year 2018 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 7. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 for the Other Post Employment Benefit Account fiscal year 2018 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 8. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the operation of the Water Department for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 9. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $404,682.00 to pay the Principal and Interest of the District Loans, Water Department, for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 10. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 for the Water Department Reserve for Contingencies Account for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 11. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 for the Water Bills Account for fiscal year 2018 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 12. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the Water Main Improvement Account fiscal year 2018 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 13. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $45,000 for the Dam Grout Injection Account fiscal year 2018 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 14. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $30,000.00 to fund the Timber Maintenance Account for fiscal year 2018 from estimated receipts or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 15. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the operation of the Fire Department for fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 16. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $11,000.00 for the Town of Dalton support fee for fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 17. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,000.00 for the Town of Dalton dispatch fee for fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 18. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 for the Fire Department Reserve for Contingencies Account for fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 19. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $99,380.00 to pay the principle and interest of the Fire Department loan and fiscal advisory fees, fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 20. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $35,000.00 for Heating & Air Conditioning systems within the fire station in fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 21. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $42,500.00 for Floor Drain Replacement within the fire station in fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 22. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate funds up to $2,500.00 for a 50% DCR Grant match for forest fighting equipment in fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 23. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate funds up to $10,000.00 for a 5% Federal AFG Grant match for fiscal year 2018 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 24. To choose and Elect the following Officers of the District:
One member of the Prudential Committee for 3 years.
One member of the Board of Water Commissioners for 3 years.
One Auditor of the District for 1 year.
One Moderator of the District for 1 year.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting attested copies thereof as required by law, in five public places, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof, fail not, and make return of the Warrant with your doings thereon to the District Clerk at the time of holding meeting as aforesaid.
