Old Business:
Drum Circle for people with dementia and their caregivers officially kicked off 1/15/2020.
ServSafe Training was successful on 1/22/20 as Kelly, Cheryl and Dorin all passed the test and received certificates good for 5 years.
New Business:
AARP Tax Prep to begin 1/11/2020, schedule is already filling up for the season.
The Bereavement Support Group supported by Hospice Care of the Berkshires has been successful in its "reboot", moving to Thursday 2/27/20 for this month only to accommodate the group leader's schedule.
Discussion regarding potential new members: David Dinicola has expressed interest in re-joining the COA Board, Louise Frankenberg.
Jen Munoz will be doing a presentation about her Peace Corps work on March 4 at 10:30
Other Business:
Dalton hosted a monthly meeting 1/29/20 of Outreach workers and other COA staff of surrounding towns, there was a record high attendance of 16. Staff from MCOA, Home Instead, Age Friendly Berkshires were in attendance along with the usual group members of Dalton, Adams, Cheshire, Lenox, Lee and newly joined Windsor. This group meets to discuss needs, upcoming events, and to general develop open dialogue amongst COA's. |
