To either of the Constables of the Town of Southampton in said county: GREETINGS: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town qualified to vote in Town affairs to meet at the Town Hall, 210 College Highway, in said Southampton, on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 12:00 (noon) to 8:00 p.m., for the following purposes: To vote, by ballot on Thursday, July 09, 2015 the following: The Questions are as Follows: QUESTION 1 Shall the town vote to have its elected Treasurer/Collector become an appointed Treasurer/Collector of the town? Yes ___ No ___ QUESTION 2 Shall the Town of Southampton be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to pay costs of purchasing a Fuel Station and Generator for the Highway Department, including the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto? Yes ___ No ___ QUESTION 3 Shall the Town of Southampton be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to pay costs of designing, constructing, originally equipping and furnishing a new Public Safety Complex, including the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto? Yes ___ No ___ QUESTION 4 Shall the Town of Southampton be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to pay costs of designing and engineering a new Public Safety Complex, including the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto? Yes ___ No ___ QUESTION 5 Shall the Town of Southampton be allowed to assess an additional $135,000 in real estate and personal property taxes for the purposes of funding additional Ambulance Service Coverage for the fiscal year beginning July first 2015? Yes ___ No ___ QUESTION 6 Shall the Town of Southampton be allowed to assess an additional $63,000 in real estate and personal property taxes for the purposes of funding a police officer for the fiscal year beginning July first 2015? Yes ___ No ___ QUESTION 7 Shall the Town of Southampton be allowed to assess an additional $68,000 in real estate and personal property taxes for the purposes of supplementing the Elementary School Budget for the fiscal year beginning July first 2015? Yes ___ No ___ Election to be by Accuvote Ballot, with the polls open from 12:00 (noon) to 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting an attested copy thereof at the Town Hall in said Southampton, and notices of the same at the usual places in said Southampton for posting such notices, seven days, at least, before the time of holding such meeting.
