PUBLIC HEARING

In accordance with the provisions of the Wetlands Protection Act, Chapter 131 Section 40 (as amended), the Petersham Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. by Zoom on the Notice of Intent by the DCR, Division of Water Supply Protection, 485 Ware Road, Belchertown, MA 01007 for the removal of existing culverts at Gate 40 and installation of a proposed open-bottom box culvert and associated components. The proposed culvert is shorter than the existing culvert and the bank will be restored on both ends of the culvert. The new structure will be installed with wing walls - both upstream and downstream - that will aid and ensure proper slope stabilization. The existing roadway over the culvert area will be repaved.
A copy of the Notice of Intent may be inspected at the Town Office by appointment (978) 724-3353.
