WARRANT SPECIAL TOWN MEETING





GREETINGS: 


		In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required and directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Dalton, qualified by law to vote in the Elections and Town Affairs, to meet in the:


NESSACUS REGIONAL MIDDLE    SCHOOL
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2015 AT 7:00 P.M.

Then and there to act on the following articles:



ARTICLE 1    To see if the Town will vote to authorize the purchase of a 41.17 acre parcel of land commonly known as The Pines located off High Street and Pleasant Street, shown on  Assessors’ Maps 109 and 105 as Lot 34, and on a plan entitled “Plan of Land Prepared for Crane & Co. Unit #4 ‘The Pines’”, dated August 30, 1999, recorded with the Berkshire (Middle) Registry of Deeds as Plan E 388, pursuant to a right of right refusal under MGL c. 61, §8, which right the Select Board voted to exercise on October 13, 2015;  and further to appropriate the sum of $91,445.00 to acquire said property, by transfer from available funds or by borrowing {the incursion of debt}; and further to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Select Board, to borrow in accordance with MGL c. 44, §7 or any other enabling authority; or to take any other action in relation thereto.
