HEARINGS
5:15 PM  An application by Verizon Wireless for a Special Permit to erect and maintain a Personal Wireless Service Facility with associated ground equipment in a wooded section of the 22.2 acre parcel Map 31, Lot 48, 21 New Lane; RU District.  Sections 8.8, 9.2 and 6.1 of the Zoning Bylaws.  Correspondence: 1) Virginia C. Jones; 2) Lucy Mitchell and Rez Williams; 3) Nancy and Dudley Eppel; 4)Judith and Nickolaus Leggett; 5)Robert B Doane, submitting19 signed endorsement letters to the ZBA recommending the Board give favorable approval to the Verizon Wireless plan.  

The endorsement letter states:  “My long time neighbor, Robert Doane, has advised me that the Doane family has been in discussions with Verizon Wireless concerning Verizon’s desire to lease a small area in the high woods approximately 100 feet behind (east of their barn for the purpose of installing a Camouflaged Cell Tower Communications site. (Map 31, Lot 48).  Verizon just recently submitted the plan to the Town of West Tisbury for approval.

Knowing that Cell Phone Service in this area is at best barely functional and understanding the location for this site is greatly obscured by the surrounding high woods I encourage the Board to approve the project when it comes before the Board for review.” The letter is signed by Clifton H.
