Name:
Tri-Town (Berlin, Boylston, Northborough), Mt. Pisgah Landscape Protection Partnership

Mission:
To protect 500+ acres of currently unprotected parcels of land in such a way that will tie together, enhance, and enlarge the existing 2000+ acres of scattered protected parcels in the Mr. Pisgah / Wrack Meadow / East Woods area of Berlin, Northborough and Boylston.

Project Description:
The towns of Berlin, Boylston, and Northborough with assistance from Sudbury Valley Trustees have joined forces to compile a list of priority properties in a 10 square mile area where these three towns meet. This area is bordered by the Wachusett Reservoir in the northwest, Mount Pisgah in the northeast, Northborough’s farm region in the southeast, and Boylston’s East Woods in the southwest. This area already contains hundreds of acres of protected land, but there are major gaps in the protection of this area. Although development pressures are high, over 700 acres of property owned by conservation-minded landowners have been identified. The group has met to compile their knowledge and strategies with the goal of applying for a State Landscape Partnership Grant.
