Essex Board of Selectmen Town Building Committee Thursday, February 15, 2018 7:00 p.m. Town Hall Auditorium, 3rd Floor Agenda • Public Comment. • Discuss how Lincoln Architect renderings were received at the recent public forum and review on screen as necessary. • Discuss public comments made and input received at the recent public forum. • Discuss advantages and disadvantages of various public safety building options as informed by input collected at the recent public forum – options include: o Use of the Town-owned John Wise Avenue site. o Keep existing building for Police only, with new firehouse in Memorial Park area. o Build a new, combined facility in existing location. o Keep existing building for Police only, with a new firehouse on newly-acquired property. o Build a new, combined facility on newly-acquired property. o Other potential options. • Discuss relative costs of various options. • Discuss process for arriving at recommended scenario with Selectmen and Finance Committee in advance of the Town Meeting warrant signature date of March 26, 2018. • Discuss suggestion to supply space for Council on Aging van in future plans. • Items that could not be anticipated by the Chairman in advance of the meeting posting deadline. • Adjourn.to
