101 Hemlock Hill – RDA – [site visit 4/14, CRose, HRose, JBurnham, EGero, EBalardini] – proposal to cut trees in Riverfront. Also wants to remove downed logs. [Removal should be the next step. I would reach out to a certified arborist for assistance. When the trees are removed, it’s best to keep the wood in the property or in the same town, just to avoid the risk of spreading EAB further.Joshua Bruckner, Forest Pest Outreach Coordinator, Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, joshua.bruckner@mass.gov 617-626-1764]
326 E Housatonic – neighbor concerned about large piles of woodchips. Site visit found chips are outside buffer; however wetland buffer has been mowed, and fruit trees and bushes planted in buffer. These activities were not specifically described in the original RDA/SDA. He would also like to plant more fruit trees. Discussion?
Forest cutting plan – Reservoir Rd
Old Mill Trail – [site visit 4/21 CRose, HRose, EBalardini, EGero w/ Emily Stockman] – plans to create a 'destination spot' at terminus of ADA trail. Some fill to level accessible area. BNRC asking if flood study would be required
