To one of the Constables of the Town of Dalton:
Greetings, You are hereby required and directed to notify the inhabitants of the Fire District of the Town of Dalton, qualified by law to vote on District affairs, to meet in the:
STATIONERY FACTORY
TUESDAY, MAY 14, 2024, AT 7:00 PM
ARTICLE 1. To see if the District will vote to accept the Commissioners report and the Treasurer’s Report as printed, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 2. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $5,948.00 for the schedule of compensation for the Board of Water Commissioners for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 3. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $166,396.00 for the Administration of the District for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 4. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $20,000.00 for the Administration Reserve for Contingencies Account for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $12,000.00 for Accounting Consultant fees for the period ending June 30, 2024 in fiscal year 2025 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 6. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 for the Other Post Employment Benefit Account fiscal year 2025 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 7. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,250.00 for GASB 45 report in fiscal year 2025 from water user fees and District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 8. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $830,918.00 for the operation of the Water Department for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 9. To see if the District will vote to raise the sum of $370,560.00 to pay the Principal and Interest of the District Loans, Water Department, for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 10. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 for the Water Department Reserve for Contingencies Account for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 11. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $15,000.00 for the Water Bills Account for fiscal year 2025 from water user fees or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 12. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $80,000.00 to fund the purchase of a Bucket Loader for fiscal year 2025 from Water Main Improvements or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 13. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $49,000.00 to fund the Timber Maintenance Account for fiscal year 2025 from estimated receipts or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 14. To see if the District will vote to raise the sum of $1,651,108.00 for the operations of the Fire Department/Ambulance for the fiscal year 2025 from Ambulance user fees and District Taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 15. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $11,000.00 for the Town of Dalton support fee for fiscal year 2025 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 16. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,000.00 for the Town of Dalton dispatch fee for fiscal year 2025 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 17. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 for the Fire Department Reserve for Contingencies Account for fiscal year 2025 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 18. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $50,000.00 to fund Building Engineering costs for fiscal year 2025, from District Taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 19. To see if the District will vote to appropriate the sum of $75,000.00 to fund Building Compliance costs for fiscal year 2025, from District Taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 20. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $20,000.00 to fund a Computer Software Update a for fiscal year 2025, from District Taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 21. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,500.00 for a 50% DCR Grant match for forest fighting equipment in fiscal year 2025 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 22. To see if the District will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 for a 5% Federal AFG Grant match for fiscal year 2025 from District taxes or to take any other action in relation thereto.
To choose and Elect the following Officers of the District:
One member of the Prudential Committee for 3 years.
One member of the Board of Water Commissioners for 3 years.
One Auditor of the District for 1 year. One Moderator of the District for 1 year.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting attested copies thereof as required by law, in five public places, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof, fail not, and make return of the Warrant with your doings thereon to the District Clerk at the time of holding meeting as aforesaid.
