The Berlin Housing Partnership and the Berlin Planning Board will hold a public forum on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Berlin Town offices at 7:30 pm to present an overview of the Town of Berlin Housing Production Plan.  Housing consultant Karen Sunnarborg’s review of the plan will be followed by an opportunity for the public to comment and ask questions.  To review the plan go to www.mytowngovernment.org where you will find the Housing Production Plan filed under documents in the Planning Board section in the Town of Berlin site.  The report is also available at www.townofberlin.com by entering the “Boards and Committees” section and clicking on “Planning Board”.  Copies of the document are also available for review in the Office of the Selectmen and the Town Clerk as well as the Berlin Public Library. While we have your attention, the Planning Board is presently short one member.  If you have an interest in serving on the Board please contact our chair, Ron Vavruska, at aircert@charter.net.  The Board has a number of responsibilities but our primary focus is with the continual updating of the Berlin Master Plan.  Sections dedicated to Housing, Open Space, Economic Development, Transportation, Land Use and Municipal Services are updated with the assistance of many other town boards and departments.  Individuals with a broad range of interests would be welcomed.   The Board meets between 20 and 25 times per year for 2 to 3 hours generally on a Tuesday night.
