Information for Meeting of Assessors (Board of)

This meeting is being held in accordance with Governor Charlie Baker’s signed Open Meeting Law M.G.L. C30A, Sec 20, dated March 12, 2020 which relieves a public body from the requirement that it conduct it’s meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, provided that the public body makes provision to ensure public access to the deliberations of the public body for interested members of the public through adequate, alternative means.
For access to R-120 for this meeting please contact the Assessor’s Office at 508-528-1120 or by email at assessorgroup@norfolk.ma.us prior to 4 pm on August 19, 2020.  If there are more public replies than R-120 can accommodate and keep social distancing guidelines, this meeting will be moved to R-124. 
In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 20, notice is hereby given that the Board of Assessors will meet on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 5:15p.m., in Room 120, One Liberty Lane, Norfolk, MA
Action Items:
- Review & Approve open meeting minutes of February 19, 2020 and March 18, 2020.
- Review & Sign Monthly Motor Vehicle Excise Report for June and July, 2020
- Review & Sign R.E. Abatement for town owned property
Enter Executive Session under MGL 30a, Sec. 21(a) 7 and MGL 214, Sec 1B to comply with or act under the authority of MGL c59, Sec 60.  
- Review & Approve executive meeting minutes of February 19, 2020 and March 18, 2020.
- Review & Sign Real Estate Exemptions
Reconvene in open session
- Discuss schedule for next month’s meeting
Any other unanticipated business that may come before the Board
