Below is a summary of the Brownfields Site Nomination Form to be discussed at the Montachusett Brownfields Group Meeting. 

Summary of Current Site Nomination Form

•         Barrett Land - Wooded Parcel (24.11 ac) Mass Ave, Harvard (Phase I ESA – Hazardous Funding)
o   The Site is and has historically been an undeveloped wooded lot surrounded by residential, commercial, and agricultural uses.
o   Contamination is not known to exist at the site.  However, it is not known if the site has been impacted from offsite sources or if illegal dumping has occurred in the past.
o   The Town of Harvard intends to purchase the property to preserve as open space and possibly open the land to recreational activities (hiking, etc.). A closing date of May 20th is set and the Town would like to conduct due diligence and quality for AAI protections prior to closing.
