Mission Statement
The Shellfish Advisory Committee evaluates the best means to develop the shellfish potential of the Town by promoting a sustainable resource through propagation, sound management, and by supporting efforts to preserve and protect shellfish habitat.
Agenda for the Shellfish Advisory Committee meeting to be held on August 12, 2019 in the Small Meeting Room at the Town Annex at 4:00.
1. Meeting recording announcement/turn off cell phones
2. Forum. If anyone from the shellfishing community or public wishes to make any constructive comments or express concerns with the shellfishing industry, habitat, or shellfish in general, or request a future agenda item, they may do so now. The Chair will use discretion over length and content of comments.
3. Review of minutes
4. Introduction, new committee members
5. Annual Committee re-organization
6. Outermost Harbor Cove Shellfish Resource Area
7. Review proposed Boat House and Wharf Plan: Stage Harbor Yacht Club
8. Matt Hillman,MNWR Refuge Manager, meet and greet new members, Q and A
9. Department update: pending House Bill 746 put forth by Ma Aquaculture Assc.
10. Agenda items: Any other items the committee may want to discuss briefly or wish to have added to a future meeting. Any item needing a vote must be postponed to a future meeting and posted as an agenda topic 48 hours prior to a scheduled meeting as prescribed under Mass. Open Meeting Law.
