| Agenda: | PUBLIC NOTICE POSTING REQUEST Organization: Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Trade Wind Fields Aviation Subcommittee Meeting Meeting Date: Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 Time: 4:00pm Location: 167 Main Street, Edgartown, Massachusetts Purpose: To discuss aviation concerns and ideas regarding Trade Wind Fields Preserve. Requested By: Matthew Dix-MVLBC Staff All meeting notices must be filed and time stamped in the town clerk’s office and posted on the municipal bulletin board 48 hours prior to the meeting. (in accordance with Chapter 303 Acts of 1975) LIST OF TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED Call to Order Public Input New Business 1. Committee Administration: Committee will appoint a chairperson and a secretary. 2. Trade Wind Fields Management Plan Review and Current Use: Staff will give the committee members a general outline of the management plan and then brief the committee on the extent of the public use of the preserve, and the issues regarding the ongoing misuse of the runway and taxiway by the walking public. 3. Trade Wind Fields Airfield Infrastructure and Runway Conditions: The committee will discuss the physical condition of the airfield and any improvements needed to continue to allow airplanes to safely land and use the airfield. 4. Airfield Use Guidelines: The committee will review the guidelines regarding pilot permitting and airfield postings and any logistical improvements that would enhance the flying community’s use of Trade Wind Fields.
