The Chatham Conservation Commission holds the following public hearings in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Ch. 131 s. 40, the Wetlands Protection Act and the Town of Chatham Wetlands Protection Bylaw Ch. 272.

AMENDMENTS TO ORDER OF CONDITIONS 

132 Old Salt Works Rd, D Michael Murray and Lisa Murray, SE 10-3316: Request to amend an existing Order of Conditions (Phase 2) to include relocation of approved Title 5 sewage disposal system from front yard to side yard; proposed replacement of trees that are removed during construction at 132 Old Salt Works Rd, Assessors Map 13M parcel C23.   

ORDER OF CONDITIONS:

1005 Main Street, Theodore P Streibert, Trustee, Streibert Barnstable Realty Trust, SE 10-3340: Proposed removal of invasive plants and replacement with native plants; upgrade drainage; dredge the pond at 1005 Main Street, Assessors Map 12F parcels 13-42, 13J-52 and 13I-51. 

155 Mill Creek Road, Denis Linnane, SE 10-3321: Continuance of hearing for proposed construction, retention and maintenance of revetment/ bulkhead to stabilize the existing vegetated, coastal bank at 155 Mill Creek Road, Assessors Map 4C parcel 9. 

152 Cockle Cove Road, Timothy J and Linda M O’Brien, SE 10-3347:  Proposed installation of in-ground steps over the coastal bank for access to Taylor’s Pond at 152 Cockle Cove Rd, Assessors Map 4D parcel T8. 

38 Wilkey Way, Peter A Smith and Linda L Mahoney, SE 10-3346: Proposed demolition of dwelling and replacement with new, single family dwelling; proposed installation of new septic system at 38 Wilkey Way, Assessors Map 17D parcel F5. 

67 Wilkey Way, Wilkey Way 67 Nominee Trust, Mark M Christopher, SE 10-3345:  Proposed additions to dwelling and landscape improvements at 67 Wilkey Way, Assessors Map 17D parcel F13.  

103 Woodland Way, Peter A Fellman, SE 10-3304:¬ Continuance of hearing for proposed installation of coir protection to living shoreline at 103 Woodland Way, Assessors Map 12K parcel HC37. Supplementary materials received

24 Trout Pond Lane, Bjerke Irrevocable Income Only Trust, Ragnhild Bjerke, Trustee, CWP 19-070N:  Proposed construction of an addition within Buffer Zone to top of Inland Bank at 24 Trout Pond Road, Assessors Map 7-I parcel C221. 

240 George Ryder Road, Town of Chatham, Chatham Municipal Airport, CWP 19-071N:  Proposed improvements to the taxiway and its appurtenant facilities to meet current FAA standards; reconstruction activities include grading, paving and riprap stabilization at 240 George Ryder Road, Assessors Map 9F Parcel 2.

ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEWS:

640 Orleans Road: Mowing a previously cleared area. The initial clearing was performed without a permit and is currently under enforcement.

36 Dune Drive: Construction of a dormer and replacement of first floor window. The entire dwelling is in the No Disturb Zone and partially in the Coastal Dune Resource Area.

0 Wilkey Way: After-the-fact request to construct an elevated walkway

0 Seapine Road: Fill in small depressions located in parking lot

55 Oyster Bluff: Re-installation of 4 posts, 2 stair sections and a platform

27 Bay Lane: Remove a chokeberry tree, remove a limb from a pine tree, demolish and reconstruct railroad tie steps. 

58 Marshview Road: Remove and replace a second story deck

0 Deep Hole Road: Permission to conduct a monitoring study on the health of salt marshes performed by the University of Massachusetts

211 Vineyard Avenue: Replace existing steps with a dry laid bluestone path and replace edging

9 Claflin Landing: Install a vegetated buffer surrounding mechanical equipment

VIOLATIONS:

391 Barn Hill Rd (Shanty), Owner John W. McGrath: Construction of a berm and dumping of shell material

114 Potonumecot Road, Owner William G. Aschenbach: Vegetation clearing, regrading, construction of a stone wall, patio, fire pit, trampoline, ball court and white wooden sound board/movie screen. The work may have occurred within 100 feet of a wetland. 

CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE:

27 Morris Island Road, Henry W. Bedford III, SE 10-2983: Certificate of Compliance requested to demolish the existing dwelling, construct a new dwelling and detached garage, add hardscape, and conduct ecological restoration.

The Commission will discuss a phased approach to the project and a recent change in contractor.
