Agenda: | Town of Chatham Shellfish Advisory Committee Mission Statement The Shellfish Advisory Committee evaluates the best means to develop the shellfish potential of the Town by promoting a sustainable resource through propagation, sound management, and by supporting efforts to preserve and protect shellfish habitat. Agenda for the Shellfish Advisory Committee meeting to be held on August 14, 2018 at the Chatham Annex Town Offices, Ground Floor Small Meeting Room, 261 George Ryder Road at 4:00 pm. 1. Meeting recording announcement/turn off cell phones 2. Forum. If anyone from the shellfishing community or public wishes to make any constructive comments or express concerns with the shellfishing industry, habitat, or shellfish in general, or request a future agenda item, they may do so now. The Chair will use discretion over length and content of comments. 3. Review of minutes 4. Issue with imported soft-shell clams and the impacts to local harvesters: seeking support from BOS. 5. Memorandum of Understanding between Coastal communities and Massachusetts Environmental Police: update. 6. Question on efforts to eradicate “invasive plants” along coastal banks. 7. 90 Bridge Street: update. 8. Agenda items: Any other items the committee may want to discuss briefly or wish to have added to a future meeting. Any item needing a vote must be postponed to a future meeting and posted as an agenda topic 48 hours prior to a scheduled meeting as prescribed under Mass. Open Meeting Law. 9. Department update. 10.
