Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 23, 2020 Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the Chatham Historical Commission is being conducted via remote participation. Application No: 21-005 To be heard in accordance with Chapter 158 (Demolition Delay Bylaw) of the Town of Chatham General Bylaws, pursuant to the Notice of Intent to Demolish or Partially Demolish a Historic Building or Structure Located at: 517 Stony Hill Road; filed by: William F. Riley, Esq., Box 707, Chatham, MA 02633; for: Kate Earls & Mike Earls, 45 Luke Street, Wrentham, MA 02093 as agreed vendee for the purchase of the property owned by 517 Stony Hill Road Realty Trust, 7003 Richview Drive, Sooke BC., V9Z0T4

Old Business: 
• Proposed Zoning Bylaw changes to Enhance Historic Preservation – Review of Cape Cod Commission graphics & update on Final Draft (Aly Sabatino).
• Former, Stage Island, US Coast Guard Boat House– Preparation/submittal of Form B, Engineering report on potential utilization as upweller – Update on Select Board review on 2/9/2021.
• Preservation Awards 2021 - Three nominations received for 2021 & Two nominations held over form 2020. May 16, 3 pm Zoom Awards meeting. Next Committee meeting is 2/12/2021.
• Review of application process/guidelines, submission requirements and adherence to Historical Commission Decisions/Determinations - Revised Application in process for Commission review on 3/16/2021.

Chairman’s Report:
• Status of Current Administrative Reviews & Ratification – 875 Orleans Road – Window/Door replacement/relocation on front elevation.
• Discussion of Administrative Review application and fee and determination of Historical Significance.
• Status of Current Demolition Delays.
• 68 Shell Drive, - Proposed relocation of historic home on property, by owner, awaiting ZBZ decision. Proposed relocation of historic Barn to Nye Museum Sandwich, awaiting demolition permit. Next ZBA meeting, continued to 3/11/2021 & Conservation Commission, 2/10/2021.
• Monomoy Theatre Property, 776 Main St, Status of NRD application with MHC, (on hold by owner) – HBDC approved demolition of structures pending the PB approval of the Definitive Subdivision on 2/22/2021

Issues on hold due to COVID-19, limitations:
• Archaeological survey of Chatham Cemeteries. Form E’s”
• Update of CHC Town Wide Archaeological Survey/Report/Form “D’s”, with recent archaeological surveys/digs. Nickerson Family Assoc/Conservation Foundation/Atwood CHS, sites.
• Demolition by Neglect/Property Maintenance Bylaws
• Review of Chap 158 bylaw, re current 75year threshold for acceptance
• Development of Preservation Plan.
